It is the sixth and final installment of the “King and Maxwell series”. The main characters are Sean King, Michelle Maxwell, Tyler Wingo and his father, a soldier. The story is woven around the tragic news of the death of Tyler’s father. Tyler learns that his father has been KIA i.e. killed in a critical mission in Afghanistan. The awful news arouses some inexplicable questions in his mind which subsequently makes him get entangled with some dangerously powerful people. The mystery deepens as some extraordinary incidents occur and compels Sean and Michelle to rethink their priorities and help Tyler to know the truth about his father’s death.
I issued the book from a library and it was a Pan Macmillan published book. The paper back version had 624 pages and it took about 15 days give or take for me to devour the story. Definitely a sleek and fast paced crime fiction novel. The writing style is fluent and captivating. Keeps you on your toes and great page-turner. I will not keep this book at par with “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” or “The Da Vinci Code” but will surely recommend you to go for it. Worth every minute of reading.
